History[ edit ] According to new results of the research done on the history of bookmarks, there are indications that bookmarks have accompanied codices since their first emergence in the 1st century AD. Further earliest bookmarks and remnants of them have been found in Coptic codices dating from the 1st to the 11th century and in Carolingian codices from the 8th to the 12th century. Bookmarks were used throughout the medieval period, consisting usually of a small parchment strip attached to the edge of folio or a piece of cord attached to headband. As the first printed books were quite rare and valuable, it was determined early on that something was needed to mark one’s place in a book without causing its pages any harm. Some of the earliest bookmarks were used at the end of the sixteenth century. Modern bookmarks are available in a huge variety of materials in a multitude of designs and styles. Many are made of cardboard or heavy paper, but they are also constructed of paper, ribbon, fabric, felt, steel, wire, tin, beads, wood, plastic, vinyl, silver, gold, and other precious metals, some decorated with gemstones.

Rick Redman, a security consultant who specializes in password cracking, said the list almost certainly belongs to LinkedIn because he found a password in it that was unique to the professional social networking site. Several Twitter users reported similar findings.

It’s Irrelevant Professional achievements highlighted on a LinkedIn profile have very little to do with if a person is looking for a relationship or not, or how they would be in a relationship if they were looking for one. September 8, at 9: The sooner you find out if someone is the one or not, the better. You could very well be out of the relationship but those soul wounds can still speak very loudly. Oftentimes, it impacts the next relationship or potential relationship if those wounds were not addressed. That was a soul wound. I know the feeling all too well from past experiences. Perhaps you have been in a situation with an ex or someone you were interested in and the thought of them being in a relationship with someone else makes you cringe; especially if there is still an emotional attachment.
Again, I have experienced this more than I care to remember. One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to think that you can make a relationship work. It is not a recipe for a good relationship. Yes, you should have grown from the last relationship or potential relationship. You should have grown forward, not allowing the experience to cause you to look through a negative lens.
The best thing you can do is to be the best you. We all are always growing.

Everybody deserves to be in a healthy relationship free from violence. Drawing the line between unhealthy and abusive can be hard.
To gate or not to gate? The age-old marketing question about gated content has been particularly subject to fluctuating public and professional opinion over the last decade or so. This way of thinking is the standard, but it overlooks many important considerations. One of the more compelling arguments against content gating is that it creates a sub-optimal experience.
